GENERAL RULES & REGULATIONS
1. Violation of Rules: An exhibitor who violates any of the following rules shall be liable, upon the decision of the Show Committee, to the forfeiture of any and all prizes and prize money, and such exhibitor may be barred from showing in the Heritage Days Challenge for such further period as the Show Committee sees fit 2. The Show Committee shall have absolute power to interpret the rules and make new rules if the printed rules do not cover any dispute or point which may be brought up and they reserve the right to decide any point not covered by the rules 3. All animals entering the Heritage Challenge All Breeds Show must be halter broke 4. There will be a visual inspection of the animals upon arrival at the grounds. The decision of the inspector(s) is final. Drugged or sick animals will not be allowed onto the facility 5. Each exhibit must have a CCIA tag upon arrival or will be excused 6. If required, exhibitor must give statutory declaration as to the age of their animals 7. All animals must be tied in the stalls with a proper halter and neck rope. All bulls, 12 months or older must have a nose ring or humbug 8. Classes will be dependent upon the number of entries received. If a class is split prize money will be paid to each split class 9. Manure must be placed in the disposal containers daily. Exhibitors are responsible for proper care, presentation and clean up of their exhibits during their stay 10. No hay or straw will be available for purchase. Shavings will be supplied 11. Tie outs will not be available 12. Due to limited stalling in the barn and general cleanliness, we ask that all trimming chutes be placed in the designated area on the south side of the barn 13. All animals must be tied in designated stalling area only. No tie outs in show ring 14. Nurse cows will be not be stalled on the Heritage Days grounds. Provision must be made to stall these animals elsewhere and must be made by the exhibitor. To make arrangements contact Wade Dundas 403.787.2225 15. Only animals entered in the show will be allowed on the grounds 16. If an exhibit has obtained admission through misrepresentation the exhibitor will forfeit any money paid. If found guilty of such an offense under the Show rules will result in immediate dismissal from the show 17. The Livestock Show Committee reserves the right to decide any point not covered by the rules
ARRIVAL TIMES
* Stall Setup – the barn will be available for setup Wednesday, 28th, Thursday, 29th & Friday, 3oth from 3pm – 8pm Please contact Cody Lee Agnew @ 403.813.3772 during stall setup with any questions
* Cattle Arrival – can arrive after 3pm on Friday, 31st
* Exhibitors can arrive after 7am daily and cattle MUST be in the barns before 10 AM the day of the show entered
* West barn gates will be locked at 10AM daily. In the event of exhibitors not having cattle in the barns prior to 10 AM may result in disqualification from the show and entries will not be refunded
RELEASE TIMES
- Cattle will be released
at 6:00pm Saturday and Sunday and following the conclusion of the show
on Monday
- Exhibitors are encouraged
to remain on display for the duration of the weekend, but this is not
compulsory
PASSES
In order to
qualify for two full weekend passes – an exhibitor must exhibit cattle
for 3 full days. All other exhibitors will receive two full day passes
for the days they are exhibiting. If only entered in showmanship an
exhibitor will receive a full day pass for the Junior Show day. Passes
can be picked up the morning of each show day.
PARKING
A maximum
of two livestock exhibitor parking passes per farm or family unit will
be available. All vehicles will be required to have passes in vehicle
window during the duration of the show. Unauthorized vehicles or vehicles
not showing a visible pass will be towed at owner’s expense.
ENTRY INFORMATION
- Entries must be made on the official Heritage Challenge Entry Forms and must give pertinent information as requested or the entry will be rejected. ONE EXHIBITOR PER ENTRY FORM
- Exhibitors must submit entries or have them postmarked on or before the following dates:

- Late entries
will be accepted until July 16th, 2010
- Late
exhibitors must supply a $25 late fee with entries
- The non-refundable entry fee must accompany the entry or the entry will be rejected
- Exhibitors cancelling individual entries after the official closing date shall forfeit all fees, except on certificate of disability from a qualified veterinarian
- Under no circumstances will telephone entries be accepted
- Cheques returned non-sufficient funds will be subject to a $25 service charge and cancellation of entries
- An exhibitor making an entry by so doing agrees to be governed by the Rules and Regulations of the 2010 Strathmore Heritage Days Livestock Challenge Show and its Committee
- Exhibitors are responsible for their own errors and those of their agents in preparation or their entry application. No refunds for such errors shall be made after entry closing date. Entries are subject to be checked by the Show Committee
- To be eligible for Breeders Herd both sexes must be represented by three head
- Premier Exhibitor will be calculated on a maximum of three animals (1st - 1 point, 2nd - 2 points, 3rd - 3 points) Lowest total wins. In the event of a tie, Breeders Herd will determine winner

Cattle shown
in the Junior Show may either be registered purebreds or commercial
animals. The Junior Show is for female animals and calendar year bull
calves only. Juniors do not
have to own the animal to exhibit.
